El Paso, TX – As we approach the March 2026 Primary Election, the El Paso County Elections Department would like to remind all eligible voters that the last day to register to vote is Monday, February 2, 2026. Our office will continue to accept voters wanting to register to vote or update their registration in person at our office located at 500 E. San Antonio Ave., Suite 314, El Paso, Texas 79901. Our office is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. On Monday, February 2, 2026, our office will close at 5:00 p.m.

In Texas, when voting in a Primary Election, voters choose either a Democratic or Republican ballot at the voting place. Each party’s primary allows voters to select the candidates they want to represent their party in the November 2026 General Election. Ballots for this election include candidates for state and local offices, as well as propositions. A Runoff Election will be held on Tuesday, May 26, 2026 for races with three or more candidates where no candidate receives more than 50% of the votes.
