Early Voting for the March 2026 Primary Election Begins in One Week
Martes, 10 de Febrero del 2026

El Paso, Texas – The El Paso County Elections Department would like to remind voters that Early Voting for the March 2026 Primary Election begins next Tuesday, February 17th and continues through Friday, February 27th. With eleven days of Early Voting, including Saturday and Sunday, voters can choose a time that best fits their schedule.

In Texas, when voting in a Primary Election, voters choose either a Democratic or Republican ballot at the voting place. Each party’s primary allows voters to select the candidates they want to represent their party in the November 2026 General Election. Ballots for this election include candidates for state and local offices, as well as propositions. In races with three or more candidates, a Runoff Election will be held on Tuesday, May 26, 2026 if no candidate receives more than 50% of the votes.

To be election ready, we encourage voters to visit www.epcountyvotes.com, where they will find all the tools and information they need before heading to the polls, including:

My Voter Dashboard – Voters can check their voter registration status and eligibility, view their voting history, and review and print their personalized sample ballot. To access the dashboard, voters must enter their first name, last name and date of birth or their Voter Unique Identifier (VUID).

Early Voting Locations – There are 39 Early Voting Locations throughout El Paso County for voters’ convenience. Voters can view a list of voting sites, hours of operation and real time wait times. A map search tool and zip code lookup are also available to help voters find a location near them.

Identification Required for Voting – When voting in person, voters can cast a regular ballot by presenting one of the seven acceptable forms of photo identification. Voters who do not have or cannot reasonably obtain an acceptable photo identification can complete a Reasonable Impediment Declaration (RID) at the voting site and present a supporting document.

Civilian Ballot by Mail – Voters who requested a ballot by mail and later decide to vote in person must bring their mailed ballot to the voting site and surrender it. If the ballot is not surrendered, the voter will be issued a provisional ballot.

For questions, voters can contact the El Paso County Elections Department at (915) 273-3597 or by email at epelections@epcounty.com.
